Voter Choice MA is transitioning from an all-volunteer grassroots organization to a grassroots organization with a dedicated professional staff that make our volunteers more effective.  We're currently looking to hire experienced professionals for the following roles:

Stewardship and Fundraising Coordinator

The Stewardship and Fundraising Coordinator will provide fundraising and development support to the Organizing Director and Executive Director at Voter Choice Massachusetts. This position involves leading volunteers and coordinating in-state fundraising strategies for a successful statewide campaign.  Responsibilities include collaboration and development of short- and long-term fundraising for both medium and large donors; meeting daily, weekly, and monthly goals for capacity growth and donor development; coordinating all aspects of house party scheduling, invitations, logistics, speakers, and follow-up; writing fundraising letters, emails, and direct mail appeals for distribution to well-managed campaign lists. The Stewardship and Fundraising Coordinator position is full-time (40 hours per week), or by contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee event communication and outreach, help identify target constituencies for new events with OD and ED to execute major giving events.
  • Manage year-round timeline and house party calendar.
  • Manage donor development prospects and initiate direct ask campaigns.
  • Support cultivation events, through assistance on logistics and communication materials.
  • Coordinate outreach to small-gift donors through specific campaigns throughout the year as needed.
  • Provide support to the ED/OD and HQ Campaign Staff.
  • Assist in income and expense tracking and relevant communication with our bookkeeper and treasurer.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year statewide political or campaign fundraising experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience in development communications.
  • A track record of successful fundraising.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a large team.

Stewardship and Fundraising Coordinator is a full time position (40 hours/week, including evenings and weekends as necessary).  The candidate selected will report directly to the Organizing Director and Executive Director.  Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Social Media Coordinator

Voter Choice Massachusetts is currently seeking an ambitious, motivated and dedicated person to join our social media team on a part-time basis. You will be assisting in the day-to-day operations for multiple social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Meetup), delivering relevant social posts that support audience growth and engagement. The ideal candidate is a highly creative self-starter who can work independently, take direction, and is very detail oriented. Strong writing and organization skills are a must. Part Time flexible schedule, 2 hours in the morning per weekday. Remote working is acceptable.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage all aspects of scheduling and posting on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
  • Work closely with the rest of the team to schedule video posts and prioritize time-sensitive content.
  • Draft posts, including collecting relevant photo, video and link assets, for approval and posting.
  • Maintain voice consistent with Voter Choice content and follow posting and content guidelines.
  • Monitor Facebook analytics to report trends and actionable insights
  • Support community management efforts
  • Assist in pulling data and compiling important business metrics into digestible reports

Requirements

  • Experience running social media accounts
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently as needed
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong grammar and communication skills
  • Interest in politics and the positive impact that election reform can have on our society
  • Collaborate with several teams willing to lend a hand when needed
  • Be proactive in your daily work & unafraid to ask questions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Schedule

20 hours/week minimum.

Compensation

Salary – $14/hr or commensurate with experience
